Fashion, I've missed you.
I feel there's been a bit of an absence of fashion news on this blog lately, so here goes reminding y'all that RRN still likes fashion.
Jonathan Leder + Polaroid + new faces = great fashion post. Or so suggests my dodgy mathematics.
Jonathan's work is going from strength to strength, both his Polaroid and 35mm photography is sublime. His work exudes this sort of distanced, out-of-reach sexuality; his girls are soft yet tough, innocent yet worldly. There is an element of Nabokov in his work, and I mean that in the best possible way.
Plus he's shooting lots of the possible stars of SS09 (oh, the anticipation!), which can only bode well when the options start coming through in October. He's also sitting pretty with James Tinnelly's Women Management Blog, which exhibits Leder's work with Women girls and keeps many a model-watcher in the loop.
