Meet my new secret lover, called Jacques. Remember that name.
The first issue of America's only new luxury erotic magazine (think French Playboy not FHM) is coming to a newsstand near you very soon!
Jacques is a quarterly publication which aims to show 'the real beauty of real women', through 'edgy opinion, arousing interviews and fiery fiction'. It may seem like a much-attempted mission for a magazine (who is this 'real woman', I wonder?), and one which often proves fruitless, but after reading the rollcall of women, photographers and artists featured in the Spring 2009 issue and checking out the beautiful pics, I am convinced Jacques is the real deal.
Issue #1 contains photography by Stacey Mark, Alexandra Carr and RRN favourite, Jonathan Leder. I am already impressed by the ratio of women to men here and the fact that, according to jacquesmag.com, the photographs are all shot exclusively on film! Could Jacques be any sexier?
In addition, there is a special portfolio of photographer Peter Bellamy's The Artist Project, containing beautiful portraits of Cindy Sherman, Louise Bourgeois, William Eggleston, and Barbara Kruger. Plus an interview with stunning American actress, Paz de la Huerta and lots more!
Anyway, I shouldn't have to explain a new lover to anyone, but seeing I just have, you can see this one's got a lot going for it! Not so secret any more, I guess ...
