FEATURED MODEL: Irina K. (IMG)
Hype, hype, hype!
There has been a hell of a lot of talk about one, Irina Kulikova, lately.
Models.com have put her at #27 on their Top 50 Models list, suggesting something big this way comes for Miss Irina K. Which major campaign(s) has she nabbed? Who has shot her? Which magazine is she appearing in? These are questions which will, no doubt, be answered very shortly.
Irina obtained possibly the most highly-coveted job in the whole show-season: she opened Prada. This role, Prada first-girl, has boosted the careers of stars such as Suvi, Anna-Mariya, Sasha, Raquel and Daria. Not bad for this young Russian.

This season, in addition to Prada, Irina walked for Miu Miu, YSL, Louis Vuitton, Chloe, Chanel, Sonia Rykiel, Dries Van Noten, Sophia Kokosalaki, Anna Molinari, Marni, Jil Sander, Calvin Klein and Nina Ricci, among others.

Standing at 5'11 with measurements of 31-24-35, Irina K. is what one might call waif-ish. Her elfin features and intriguing gaze cause one to stare at her pictures wondering what it is exactly that is making us stare. But that's the trick, it can't be explained. There's just something about this girl.
Vmagazine.com have also been chattering about Irina K. Pre-season they described her as "A brand-new girl who has a very quirky beauty, almost a throwback to the alien-chic model of the late '90s." An interesting thought ...

She was also featured in Hint magazine's "Model Mania" section for March '07, where Joseph Tenni revealed she "was discovered in a Moscow restaurant by IMG head honcho, Ivan Bart, and Liv Tyler." That's THE Liv Tyler - pretty cool, huh? Plus, it must be a good sign if the "head honcho" of a powerhouse agency like IMG discovers you. Both VERY good signs.
Look at those legs-for-days! How divine!
This girl looks set for great things, it will be only a matter of time before we know if all this hype has been justified. And I have a little hunch that it will be!
