The Barber Shop presents AGÊNCIA II

Tonight (Saturday 31 March 2012) and Thursday 5 April 2012 check volume II of Agência: Algumas Formas ao Alcance de Todas as Mãos, at The Barber Shop, Lisbon.

You may or may not remember a post I made in April 2011 about the first volume, whose message was essentially 'art workers won't kiss ass'. This year Agência reflects on the tumultuous year 2011, presenting a 'set of discussions about themes such as the public mediation of intellectual property, the exemplarity of the debate on its jurisdiction beyond the virtual, as well as the intrusion of finance into daily life.'

Benedict Seymour will present Shorter Circuits: Finance, Feedback, and Culture in the second wave of the Crisis tonight at 18h, then on Thursday at 18h30 Ricardo Noronha presents a talk titled Public, Private and Common and then at 19h15 Teresa Nobre discusses Copyright Policies | Free/Open Culture Movements. All talks are held at The Barber Shop, Rua Rosa Araújo 5 (Metro Avenida).

For those not in Lisbon (and for those who are!) there is a reading list of parallel/related texts accompanying this Agência cycle to be found at: http://www.thisisthebarbershop-agencia.com/
