ANGST magazine

The dictionary defines angst as 'a feeling of deep anxiety or dread, typically an unfocused one about the human condition or the state of the world in general'.

ANGST is the new magazine from publisher/editor Fiona Bryson.

It's about 'the human condition' and 'the state of the world', but it's also about individuals and creativity and it's certainly not entirely about 'dread' and 'anxiety'. For instance, the first (Spring 2010) issue of the A5-format magazine contains articles about photographer Sibylle Bergemann, artist Cyprien Gaillard, designer Gosha Rubchinskiy and actor/musician River Phoenix as well as photo-stories from Anastasia Freygang, Alexandra Catiere (pictured below) and Atlanta Rascher, among others.

ANGST will be launched this Sunday 7 March 2010 at La Féline in Paris from 19:00. La Féline is at 6 rue Victor Letalle 75020 (Métro Ménilmontant) - click here for a map. The event includes music by Paris Suit Yourself (live) and Sylvania (DJ) as well as a screening of a new film work from Anastasia Freygang that was made especially for ANGST.

A small preview of this film appears as the promotion for the launch:

If you are in Paris this Sunday, go to the ANGST party for dancing, fun and friends; go for the human condition and the state of the world; go for anxiety and dread; go for good music and powerful visuals; go for a very exciting new publication!
